Pence on the Offensive at APEC | May Gathers Support for Brexit Deal

US Vice President Mike Pence went on the offensive with rhetoric this weekend geared towards Chinese leader Xi Jinping at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit. Pence called on countries in the region to avoid lending from China that could leave them indebted to the nation. The summit ended without a closing statement for the first time ever.
British Prime Minister Theresa May is set to speak to corporate leaders from around the UK today as she rallies backing for the current Brexit deal. Many critics predict the deal will fail to get sufficient support in parliament to pass a critical vote while the political fallout has left May fighting a confidence vote.
West Texas intermediate rebounded this morning trading at $56.76. This comes despite record high US production. This recent rally is founded on the belief that OPEC production cuts will stimulate the commodity back towards favourable levels.
